The Shoulder and Winter Season at Island View RV Resort

When looking for RV camping with beach access  and lake views, near Osoyoos (or anywhere in the Okanagan) you quickly discover that peak summer season is usually booked months in advance. And prices will be at a premium of course.

It can be difficult to make reservations for camping during July & August vacation season.

The shoulder season in Osoyoos, however, is not as busy at campgrounds and RV’ers can make reservations at off-season rates at prime waterfront resorts.

Peak Summer Season at our resort is always towards the end of June, to just after Labour Day in September.

Shoulder season rates are in place from just after Labour day to towards the end of June, and the daily rates are almost half price of Peak season rates, and even greater savings for weekly and monthly stays. It is quiet, less crowded in the resort and on our private beach. The lake itself is generally so much quieter, and makes for great boating, paddle boarding and kayaking.

Winter

Island View RV Resort has become a very popular winter stay for our snowbirds who wish to come to our milder climate with their RV. With no health insurance premiums or usd exchange rates to worry about, it can be a very affordable fun way to spend your winter. We can boast the most affordable rate in the area with our great snowbird package of 4-7 month stays. We include a cable box with your long term stay at a very reasonable rate, and provide a well utilized social room for cards, sports like the Grey Cup on a large screen tv, potlucks, and holiday parties.

Snowbird travelers that do go south of the border to even warmer climates, often stay with us as they travel back and forth from the U.S.  Stay a day, a week, a month, or consider this Osoyoos RV park as your winter destination. Osoyoos is a winter destination for many who prefer our milder winter climate.

The difference with the shoulder season bookings is that you can generally be assured that we have availability for you.

We do accept drops ins, but as the resort has gotten busier during the winter and shoulder season, we do recommend reservations, especially for larger rv’s.
